2010 - You MUST get INVOLVED!

I am of the firm belief, and have been for some time, that there is only one way we will turn around ths Ship of State called the United States of America.

We must ALL become as involved as we possibly can at the District level if we are to change the United States Congress.  You must research the candidates in your district, find one who is conservative enough for you to support, and then back them with every ounce of your energy, time and resources to getting them elected.  Once you have identified the those running for the House, then move on to the Senate. See how much time you can give there.

There are also crucial Gubernatorial races in many states that you can become involved in.  Find out who is sitting on the redistricting commission in your state and be sure census information is being processed properly.  Then you should also examine what candidates of worth are running for State Senate, local congressional district representatives, county commission and school board

Whoever you support - tell them its about the economy, jobs, limited spending, shrinking government and of course doing what they can to limit the scope of the Health Care Reform and Cap and Trade harm.

In my own District 11 here in Tampa, several candidates are vying for the GOP primary vs Democrat Congressional Representative Kathy Castor.  Ms Castor is rated as the 9th most liberal out of 435 Representatives in the United States House!  She is the product of an old political family here and is basically Ms Pelosi's lapdog.  After a careful search, I have decided to support Tony Buntyn, who I believe has the ability to reach across many lines of separation and appeal to discontented.  So I am doing all I can to support him in the primary, and then I will support whoever should become the candidate.

Then, of course, I will be working all summer for Marco Rubio who is running vs our turnocat governor, Charlie Crist and a billionare wannabe named Greene for the Senate seat that opened up when Mel Martinez (another RINO) retired.

A good site to research congressional races is Freedom Project .  You can search by state and also click on the  Key Races tab.  If you are able and  there is someone else in your state or another state who is building their campaign chest, don't limit your self to your local area, but start there.

November 2010 is not in the distant future!  It is but 4 and a 1'2  months away - and primaries are much sooner.  We must act now!

Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Just my ideas -


- Armed troops across entire Southern border.  Show us your worker visa or other papers or adios!  That's what other countries do that do not have a natural border such as an ocean or sea.  The stream of illegals coming across the border is a National Security risk.  If you think terrorists are not aware of how porous our border is - you are living in some self-induced state of ignorance.


- Finish the FENCE!!  I am about ready for old castle days with burning pots of oil at the top!


- Shoot mercenaries if they threaten US law enforcement officers.


Then, maybe we can think about reform. Here are some thoughts on that.


1. Massively streamline the process for those from all over the word who have been trying for several years to become naturalized citizens.


2. Grant accelerated citizenship PROCESS to those currently here who do NOT have criminal records- in ANY country.  They are on the END of the line in #1.


3. Deport those with criminal records.  Sorry if they have families - so do US citizens who are prisoners. Their families don't get any special treatment.


4. No more than 2 million accepted per year into the accelerated process.  Start with those who are actively employed.


5. Grant Worker Visas to the other 8 million or so illegal adults that must be renewed every year.  Limit the number of non-immediate dependents that Worker may have here with him - no grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.   Work Visas DO NOT grant the right to vote. Random drug testing for any government benefits.


6. Children currently in school may stay if their parents are allowed to stay.  No new enrollments unless one parent can prove worker visa or citizenship in process.  For a child to be enrolled in school, at least one parent AND the child must enroll in accelerated english classes.


7.  Moratorium on any NEW immigrants from our southern border until we have assimilated the millions already here.  Should be about 8 years.


Just my ideas. Feel free to differ.

Time to sign or switch!

If you are truly dissatisfied with the current state of affairs in DC with the Liberal/Progressive Dems and the RINOs on the other side - you need to take the time to be sure what is allowed in your Sate Primaries!  Especially if you are considering a temporary or permanent party switch or if you are an Independent or Unaffiliated voter.

How many of you have checked the Primary Election rules in your state?  Some states have open primaries, some have some kind of blended rules, and some are closed primaries.  A closed primary means that only registered voters who have declared a party affiliation may vote and may only vote for candidates in that party's primary election.

Florida is a Closed Primary state.  Independents and unaffiliated voters may not vote in Florida primaries.

All of this is to say that we have some important dates coming up regarding the primaries in Hillsborough County where I live.  If you want to see someone challenge Kathy Castor and are considering a party switch in order to be able to vote in the Republican Primary, you must make that switch by 7/26/2010.  If you are new to the Tampa Bay area or just have never registered, you must register by 7/26.

Here is the  link for downloading the form for printing and mailing.  You can also register at recruiting stations and driver's license locations.  You may be an Independent who wants to vote in the Republican primary, make the switch and then switch back if you like after the election.

My personal recommendation for federal congressional race in Florida District 11 is Tony Buntyn, a colonel in the Air Force Reserves for 31 years who has been called to active duty in  the war theaters several times in the last few years. 


He is a REGULAR guy who quit a good-paying job at Raytheon to run in this race.  He and his wife and two children are living off her nurse's salary while he mounts this campaign. He has never run for office before.


Tony is an expert in cyber-security, a fiscal conservative who knows that it's all about the economy, and who has proven leadership skills.   He has signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge and also has pledged to term-limit himself and serve no more than 5 terms if elected.  National security is a priority for Tony - both with our southern border and in the fight against terrorism.  

Since signing on to volunteer for Tony, I have watched him talk to voters from all sorts of backgrounds and his easy manner, dignity and respect will appeal to voters from all parties when it comes time for the general elections.  But make no mistake about his conservatism. The first thing you see when you walk in the office is a large Gadsden flag. He is fighting this fight because he knows that Washington is broken and it is time for citizens with  courage and conviction to step up and be willing to fix it.  I believe his qualifications combined with this voter appeal will allow Tony to mount a campaign that can truly compete with Kathy Castor who is rated the 9th most liberal representative in Congress.

This is one of the 435 people out of 300+ million Americans who represents us in the House of Representatives.  He has been reelected by an uninformed and uncaring public for almost 40 years (since 1973).  This man could not head a company or a school district if he dealt with clients or peers in this manner, but he is allowed to govern our country?

America, can we not do better than THIS?  Wake up - look at the candidates and select people who respect citizens and want to see this COUNTRY grow and prosper - not their careers!  As far as I am concerned this man should be summarily dismissed from that illustrious body at the first opportunity.
