Happy New Year!

This year - since I have so many online friends who I have never met - I though I would share my annual Christmas poem here (the satirical version is in a previous post :o)

What can I say at the end of the year?
Just this my friends, please do not fear.

Though things in our country and world might seem strained
God does not sleep and will not be contained.

Don’t tremble, don’t fret, God is NOT done yet
He’s working a plan - for all time it’s been set.

Be faithful and listen for His still quiet voice
and treasure small moments that make you rejoice.

Wherever your family, no matter how small
take time to love them, take time to call.

God came long ago in the form of a child
Whose Spirit was fierce though his manner was mild.

He’ll come once again when the time is just right
And the WORLD will drop to its knees at the sight.

We who remain will then join the KING
and with the angels we’ll finally sing -

“GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST -
JESUS IS THE KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS!
PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TO MEN"

A bright new year to you all! Remember all times are in God's hands - but we are His emissaries and workmen.

The Year Before Christmas

Its been months since I posted - I thought it was time to look back

Twas the year before Christmas, and all through the land
the folks felt that D.C. was getting out of hand

First came T.A.R.P., then more bailouts, then Omnibus sets
We traded Billions for Trillions to count skyrocketing debt
Now we own GM and Chrysler and more
and will soon owe our souls to the Company Store.

Barney, Harry, Chris, Nancy and friends
Feel our paychecks are theirs and don't even pretend
To care that we're hurting and need some relief
They think we are roadblocks and ask "What's your beef?"

We're loonies and dangerous but we'll keep marching on
You won't silence our voices and you won't take our guns.
We don't want your Health Care or your Cap N Tax mess
We want jobs, small business relief and less stress.

The web of progressives taking over DC
Must be swept out quick as can be
Right now we must fight for WIN 2010
Candidates everywhere on us must depend.

Send them your dollars, no matter how small
YES WE CAN change the balance for the good of us all!

While your at it, take time to pray. God is not surprised at where things are right now-
