So it is one of those days when I don't know what is up and what is down. Haven't been to church in weeks because I can't find one that is really about worshipping God without a million "programs". So I worship at home.
My job pays just enough to keep me trapped and in this economy its to risky to take a chance on something else.
On January 20 I feel like I suddenly became a citizen of another country. I have never seen such abuse of executive power or such gloating over feasting at the table of the american taxpayer.
Most of my friends are on message boards somewhere. People I don't know and will never meet.
I'm angry with John McCain this morning. He had a chance on CNN to show some warrior fire and instead he was sickeningly conciliatory. How can we hope to turn this country back to some kind of greatness with that sort of leadrship. God bless John Boehner who at least has some gumption.
the words to Dylan's song are seeming frighteningly relevant and have been in my head all week -
The Times They Are A-Changin'
Come gather 'round people, wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide the chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon for the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'.
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside and it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come mothers and fathers throughout the land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.
The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
As the present now will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

Stimulus Savagely Rapes our Country
So - an incredibly sad Valentine's Day. Not only do I not have a Valentine, the Democratic Party has decided to share the love by extreme abuse of power....in other words RAPE.
No healthy debate, no time to read this massive piece of tripe. Just put tape over our mouths and shove it in from behind. That is a very crude analogy, but it is exactly what happened this week.
To say that I am fearful of where the Obama and the Autocrats (and RINOs CSS) will lead our nation is an understatement in the extreme. I can't say Democrats because if Harry Truman ran into one of these fools he would be astounded at where his party has gone. Not only does the "buck" not stop with them, they can't even count the bucks in numbers smaller than billion and trillion. They take no personal responsibility for what they are doing to this nation. AND they could care less!
Time for tea and finding some peace in the only place it can be found...the Lord.
