There is a movement afoot to restore the character of America. Let's see of we share some of the ideas that were central to those who helped to CREATE the United States of America.
Do you believe that this is a good country? Do you believe that God gave us this nation as a gift and is He the center of your life? Do you try to live your life with honesty and integrity? Do you believe that the family is sacred and that parents should control what, where and how their children learn and live, not the government?
Do you believe in the rule of law, that no one should be above it, and that for wrong actions there are consequences? Do you believe that people have the right to be born, to live in freedom and to pursue happiness, but that what each person accomplishes within those rights is up to them?
Do you believe that YOU should determine who you want to charitably share your talents, goods and wages with - not have them demanded of you by the government? Do you believe that our ability to agree to disagree is what helped this nation grow, that intelligent debate and discourse are vital to our health as a nation and that it is not un-American for you to disagree with authority or anyone else you know?
Do your believe in a government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE? Do you believe that those in elected office must listen to the people who hired them?
If you agree with these ideas, let me ask you one more thing. Are the following values part of your core standards - honesty, reverence, hope, thrift, humility, charity, sincerity, moderation, hard work, courage, personal responsibility and gratitude? Then perhaps you would enjoy looking at the little project a colorful commentator started, called the 9-12 project.
After 9-11-2001 Americans, without ANYONE telling us what was right, just did the right thing. We donated our time, money and blood, volunteered, looked out for each other and prayed for the families of all those involved. We believe that we MUST revisit how we felt and what we did on 9-12-2001...the day after an event that changed our country forever.
We must just stand up and DO THE RIGHT THING. We must let our voice be heard by making our integrity so obvious, our love of country so appealing, our desire for the best for our friends and neighbors such a shining light, that no one can deny the worth of being an American and that it is the greatest privilege on earth.

Thanks so much Ed. Pass the word to others in We Surround Them :o) It was good to meet you at the Ale House gathering
I'm sorry but God is not an American, nor is he a Republican, nor is he a Caucasian, nor is he a Baptist or a Catholic or a Jew or a rascist or a liberal or a conservative.

Please keep it clean and on topic - debate, not ridicule, ranting or bashing. Thanks!
